Your challenge

Indirect sales through partners and channels is one of our three main sales strategies. It’s your job to make sure that relationships with distributors, and value added resellers are good and stay good. Without you, Advantech would not have such a market share in Central Eastern Europe (such as Balkans, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) through our sales partners.

Your responsibility

The position of Channel Manager is quite a challenging job. You develop new focused Channel Partners in CEE with support and supervision of Channel Sales Director. Besides making sure the business with your partners is going strong, you are also responsible for the cooperation you have with all the different resellers, distributors and system integrators.

  • As a key member of the IoT Business, with expertise in iConectivity technology, you plan and execute a strategic and tactical business plan that meets revenue and profitability targets;
  • Through excellent communication skills you make sure to have your partners motivated and connected for excellent functional working relationships;
  • You develop and maintain senior level relationships to broaden awareness, understand current and emerging needs;
  • You successfully prospect and secure new business channels and partners by positioning the company with a focus on industrial products and solutions;
  • You continuously develop, maintain and manage a robust pipeline with targeted partner entities to continuously grow the business and generate sales;
  • You attend conferences and appropriate industry /professional association meetings to promote solutions and the brand;

Who are you?

You breathe indirect sales! Whether it comes down to influencing your partners to sell your product or training resellers and distributors, this is your trade:

  • You have a great record of accomplishment in industrial technology with 5+ years of experience;
  • You possess extensive knowledge of communication technology, particularly iConnectivity technology including wire and wireless products and solutions;
  • You have wonderful presentation and communication skills with sensitivity to win the partner’s commitment;
  • You are able to provide effective partner support, coaching and driving whilst enabling smooth collaboration with other parts of the organization;
  • You understand Industrial technology products, topics and solutions (Like iFactory Industry 4.0, Energy and Infrastructure);
  • You can handle conflicts between parties and work well under pressure, focused on solving challenges;
  • You are fluent in English. Being fluent in Hungarian and other Balkans languages is an advantage;

How do we see the future?

This is a very interesting time to be a Channel Manager for CEE at Advantech. Over the last years, this position has shifted from box shifting to strategical partnerships. We demand that from our partners, but also from the new Channel Manager! You are an added value to the relationship with our channel partners. Together with you, value added resellers and distribution partners will keep on growing their own and our revenue!
