Your challenge
As a member of our international HR Support team, you manage accurate and compliant payroll operations across multiple countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, and other European entities. You are responsible for monthly payroll processing, payroll data accuracy, and handling payroll-related employee inquiries. The Senior Payroll Specialist works closely with global payroll vendors, Accounting, and HR team to ensure compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Your responsibility
In this role, you will be responsible for diverse tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare monthly payroll data and reports for different countries in Europe in a timely manner (Netherlands, UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Austria, Czech, Belgium, Ireland and Nordics)
- Point of contact person for payroll-related queries from employees.
- Maintain and process payroll data in HR system, perform audit and ensure data accuracy 100%.
- Work with global payroll service vendors and Accounting to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
- Responsible for internal and external audits on HR and payroll process.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (Accounting, managers, employees) and with external partners.
- Stay up to date with local payroll regulations.
- Other related duties as assigned or required by the manager.
Who are you?
You are a proactive and driven HR professional with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships across the organization. You bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Management or Accounting.
- At least 5 years of payroll-related experience in an international company.
- HRIS systems work experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of local regulations, wage tax and wage laws, and pension plans is preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
- Understand and comply with audit controls and company processes and procedures.
- Detail oriented, with strong analytical and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material, high sense of confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach towards business problems and process improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to different shareholders. Fluent in English language is essential. Other European language is a plus.
