Your challenge

Indirect sales through partners and channels is one of our three main sales strategies. It’s your job to make sure that relationships with distributors, and value added resellers are good and stay good. Without you, Advantech would not have such a market share in Central Eastern Europe (such as Balkans, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) through our sales partners.

Your responsibility

In cooperation with our partners as well your global sales colleagues, technical support and product management you are the entrepreneurial Channel representative for advanced industrial connectivity business in the CEE region:

  • As a key member of the IOT iAutomation business, you plan and execute a strategic and tactical business plan that meets revenue and profitability targets;
  • Continuous partner development for Industrial IOT iConnectivity and iAutomation solution sales growth with a focus on VAR’s, distributors, dealers, system integrators, machine builders, and end users customers. Cooperate closely with a network of certified Industrial ECO system partners; 
  • You are responsible for well-connected indirect sales cooperation: Visiting both SME end users and key accounts together with your channel partner. Motivating your Eco System by high execution level and high service level in supporting your partners;
  • Develop new partnerships and understand current and emerging needs; 
  • Cooperate with your global colleague sales, solution architects, product management, inside Sales and technical support;
  • Conducting regional sales, customer and partner events, as well as managing vertical focus trade shows. You attend conferences and appropriate industry /professional association meetings to promote solutions and the brand; 
  • You report to the Channel Sales Director.

Who are you?

  • You have a great record of accomplishment in industrial IIOT automation technology with minimum of 5+ years of experience; 
  • General solid understanding of Industrial technology products, topics and solutions (Like iFactory Industry 4.0, Energy and Infrastructure); 
  • Expertise in iConectivity technology. You possess understanding of several todays ( Industrial ) communication technology including solutions, protocols and standards like for example: LoRaWAN , NB-IoT, CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) and PTP (Precision Time Protocol). Within industrial domain use of LTE-M, GSM 4G/5G and Wifi standards. PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP, LoRa, DeviceNet and Sigfox among others; 
  • You have presentation and communication skills with sensitivity to win the partner’s commitment, providing most effective partner support, coaching and driving whilst enabling smooth collaboration with other parts of the organization; 
  • You can handle conflicts between parties and work well under pressure, focused on solving challenges;
  • You are fluent in English. Being fluent in Hungarian and other Balkans languages is an advantage.

This is a very interesting time to be a Channel Manager for CEE at Advantech. Over the last years, this position has shifted from box shifting to strategical partnerships. We demand that from our partners, but also from the new Channel Manager! You are an added value to the relationship with our channel partners. Together with you, value added resellers and distribution partners will keep on growing their own and our revenue!
