Your challenge

Are you ready to play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, tailor-made industrial computer boards and systems? Join our R&D team near Munich and you will own the end-to-end validation of industrial PCs and SBCs (x86 & ARM) from test plan to automated execution and data reporting. You design the test strategy, build/maintain test rigs, execute environmental & reliability tests, and drive failures to root cause with engineering.

Your responsibility

You will own validation of custom boards and systems to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance, next to that, you:

  • Derive pass/fail criteria from design specs & test standards. 
  • Establish test plans, execute tests, and deliver concise, data-backed reports. 
  • Partner with R&D to build standardized, scripted test environments for repeatable results.
  • Drive failure analysis by logging key parameters, analyzing traces, and isolating root causes via controlled experiments. 
  • Build and maintain automated test rigs to stress the DUT, power-cycle, and to control climatic chambers and shakers. 
  • When a test can’t be run in-house, coordinate with external labs to plan, schedule, and execute it seamlessly.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background. Next to that, you have: 

  • Degree in electronics/computer/systems engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years testing embedded/industrial PCs; hands-on with climatic chambers and shakers • Hands-on with industrial PC test tools (PassMark, etc.), methods, and validation. 
  • Solid understanding of reliability concepts and thermal engineering principles. 
  • Familiarity with key standards, including IEC 60068-2-X (temperature, humidity, low pressure, shock & vibration, handling/dop tests) is a must.
  • Power user of Linux & Windows; BIOS/UEFI, storage, drivers, networking.
  • Familiarity with PC I/O: USB, COM/RS-232/485, HDMI/DP, Ethernet, GPIO, I²C/SPI and radios: Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, LTE/5G, GNSS.
  • Comfortable writing/maintaining Python/Bash for test automation.
  • Familiarity with EMC pre-compliance, and safety testing is a plus. 
  • Clear communicator in English. German is a plus. 
  • Well-organised, dependable, result-oriented way of working.
